Great Idea Dan but I have an Android. Any plans on releasing an app for this OS?
@Danny B: Some day in the future I might come out with an Android version, but it’s no a priority; first I have a number of other new iPhone app ideas I want to work on.
Reason #1: They’re totally different platforms and — and least for a project like PhotoVoice — they require different architectures; you can’t just tweak the iPhone version to make it work on Android.
Reason #2: At the moment, iPhone apps outsell Android apps 11 to 1. (For some reason — again, at least at the moment — most Android users seem to stick to free apps.)
But do feel free to pass this offer along to every doggone person you know who does own an iPhone or iPad or iPod Touch….
Thanks for the apps sessions with Trey, Dan, very interesting and gave me some good ideas. BUT, I am also on Android and feel left out. I would pay for a good app, but I understand you have to fish where the fish are…. And thanks for all your other webinars, I appreciate them!
Best wishes for a great success, let the cash flow!
John
@John Murphy: Maybe one day I’ll look back and think, “Why the heck didn’t I include Androids from the very beginning?”
But at the moment, I’m still amazed at having been able to create one even if it’s only for iPhones….
Sorry, Dan…I’m one of those dinosaurs still clinging to my BlackBerry. Oh, well…
@Vance: My app is a GREAT stocking stuffer for all of your iPhone using friends.
Shop early & often!
Paul Hernandez demonstrates how easy it is to use PhotoVoice.
Ryan Honter offers a PhotoVoice from Sri Lanka.
Kamasami Kong reports from Tokyo.
This is another roar from an ancient BlackBerry Dinosaur. Too bad for me missing this deal.
This app is a-m-a-z-i-n-g !! It’s fun, for starters.
And I’m looking forward to hearing from Dan what else he thinks might be a good way of using Photovoice.
@Lindo: Hearing that my app is fun for you to use makes my day. Thanks.
How about posting a few on your Facebook page, so we can see how they work?
Android for me, too. I would really enjoy this app, but I won’t be switching to an Iphone. Let me know when you change from exclusively Apple. I’d love to have an app where I could see pictures without having to get out my reading glasses to enjoy the caption.
I’m still clinging to my BB, but most of the other people at my station are iPhone users, so I will certainly tell them about your cool, new app! Thanks for all your help over the years, Dan.
@Walt: Still relying on shooting BB’s at people to get their attention, huh?
Oh, wait….I’ll bet you mean BlackBerry. Oh.
Thanks very much telling others about the app, Walt — and for your kind words. Been a long time since the last Summit I saw you at…
The iphone is on my wish list, but sadly I am still clicking on the blackberry however as soon as I do get an iphone I will be sure to download the App! sounds great
As soon as I get an iphone I will be sure to download the App… still clicking away on the blackberry as well…
