Most radio personalities take what other jocks have done and do it themselves.
I, however, like to take what other jocks have done and do it completely differently.
For example:
“The Mystery Voice.”
Contestants have to guess who it isn’t.
As long as they don’t guess the right person, they win.
Suggestion
Don’t select obvious celebrity voices.
Instead, use a voice from a news actuality.
Example
CALLER: Um….Justin Bieber?
JOCK: You’re wrong! You win!
Every now and then you might get a contestant who doesn’t quite understand the goal and who guesses correctly…in which case, she loses:
CALLER: Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain?
JOCK: Oh, I’m sorry, you’re absolutely correct. Better luck next time!

wonderful idea, it’s almost like the impossible question, but it’s so simple and a perfect way to win and build tsl
We’ve done that off and on for a number of years here – something I started, actually. We call it the “Wrong Game.” We ask 3 questions, and if the listener can get all three questions wrong, they win – but I throw in some curveballs, to make it fun. For example:
1) “What color is stop sign?”
2) “What’s the number to 9-1-1?”
3) “What holiday is not celebrated in December?”
The trick here is that people immediately think “Christmas” is the correct answer, so they answer with ANOTHER holiday – even though “Christmas” would’ve been wrong! (Get it?) It was actually a great way to keep listeners interested, because it adds just a tiny element of skill to an otherwise simple task!
Well, I know what I’M doing today.
Interesting. Could I buy a vowel?
HI!!
I play this contest every day..
its called 5 in 10..
listener will get 10 seconds to answer five things..
ask the listener to call..
once they call give thm the question.
