  I spent many happy hours listening/studying Ron Chapman and his crew during visits to Dallas in the mid to late 80s and early 90s. So many of the lessons were taken back to stations that I ran in the UK. Such intelligent humour; always teasing ahead; always promoting the station and its calls (but in a way that was often almost subliminal); every word enunciated with huge care and appropriate emphasis. IMHO one of the greatest commercial radio presenters of all time. In fact the next time we discovered a US radio guy who could add significantly to our knowledge base, it was a gentleman called … Dan O”Day 🙂
