WANTS TO WRITE FAKE SPOTS
QUESTION FOR DAN O’DAY:
I'm interested in writing fake spots for radio stations.
How do I go about doing this? Do I need an agent to sell my fake spots? Do I just
contact the program director?
If there is a tape to buy in your catalog I would be interested
in buying it. Thank you for your time.
DAN REPLIES:
It sounds like you want to write comedy bits for radio stations
-- yes?
If so, your best bet is to listen intently to a comedy-oriented
local morning show and then send them a tape of your stuff.
If they like it, they'll either want to use it for free or, less
likely, they might be willing to pay you a modest amount for each
one they air. (If you're not in radio, you probably have
no idea how cheap radio stations are.
If the above does describe what you're looking for, the
one item in our catalogue that fits perfectly is HOW TO
WRITE AND PRODUCE RADIO COMEDY.
