Not the tastiest burger I&#8217;ve ever ingested.<\/p>\n<p>As my plane approached London, I glanced out the window and was transfixed by an endless vista of huge, puffy, white clouds. Absolutely breathtaking. <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>Bob Hoad<\/strong> <\/span>had arranged for Southern Radio&#8217;s <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>Stuart Woodford<\/strong><\/span> to pick me up at Heathrow Airport and drive me to Ockenden Manor in Sussex, where I would be staying (and where the next day&#8217;s seminar would be held).<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_9065\" style=\"width: 464px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/danoday.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/OckendenManor.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9065\" class=\"size-full wp-image-9065\" title=\"OckendenManor\" src=\"http:\/\/danoday.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/OckendenManor.jpg\" alt=\"radio seminars England\" width=\"454\" height=\"175\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-9065\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ockenden Manor<\/p><\/div>\n<p>After the advertising seminar, I met individually with a number of Southern Radio&#8217;s clients to talk about their ad strategies and brainstorm new campaign ideas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Next: <\/strong>Searching for good Mexican food in Arkansas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>June, 1997 (continued): After spending the next day with the folks at Radio \u00d63 in Vienna, I raced to the airport for my flight to England.
