This event will make your career better and give you a big pay raise \u2013 regardless of what\u2019s going on with the economy\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em> <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u201cIf you are new to the business. This event can save you a huge amount of trial and error, pain and suffering and get you on the fast-track to getting your first booking.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong><em> <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pretty bold claims. A pay raise! No pain &amp; suffering! Can she deliver on that?<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><em>\u201cOnce you know where to find the right prospects the door to your career will open widely. The secret is knowing where to find them\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Guess she\u2019ll reveal the alternate universe where such prospects exist\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Take heed though:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><em> \u201cAll the power has returned to the customer. Your customer\u2019s will have zero tolerance for your lack of skill\u201d <\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong><em> <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Gee, thanks for the vote of confidence.<\/p>\n<p>Oh wait, here\u2019s the good news:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><em>\u201cBusinesses will eagerly hand you a lot of money for your talent.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Feeling better, but then she added:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><em>\u201cIn this new economy people are going to be more cautious about spending their money than ever before.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So which is it? Cautious conservatism or wretched largesse?<\/p>\n<p>My head was spinning, and then I saw the \u201ckey to success.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><em>\u201cThe key to success is to focus on customers eager to work with you, who appreciate your talent. There are thousands of businesses anxious to hire you\u2026with price resistance completely off the table.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>OH! Got it! All I need is the \u2018right\u2019 not-so-cautious or intolerant but always appreciative clients! Of course! Why didn\u2019t I think of that?<\/p>\n<p>I trust she\u2019ll be handing out a list of the thousands of businesses anxious to hire us and contact information at the event.<\/p>\n<p>But wait. There\u2019s more good news!<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><em>\u201cBe prepared to experience the sheer unbridled joy of a new business model that will attract a flood of new business opportunities\u2026and give you more time off than you ever imagined.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Ah, the joy of a shiny new business model does make my heart sing. And I do agree about the high probability of time off if you swallow this nonsense; it\u2019s called &#8220;unemployment.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Hang on, here comes the revelation!<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><em>\u201cEvery day a huge ocean of money flows from clients to people behind the mic. It\u2019s important to grasp that the ocean of money is already flowing\u2026.all you need do is put yourself in it\u2019s way\u2026WITH A BUCKET!\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>A tidal wave of cash flowing right to your door! Just &#8220;put yourself in it\u2019s way.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A personal tip: My 33 years of voice over experience suggests you select the sturdy True Value 10-quart model with the red plastic ergonomic handle, because I\u2019ve learned that wooden handles cause blisters with a heavily laden bucket o\u2019 money.<\/p>\n<p>By the way, real pros throw the ones and fives back in the spirit of good sportsmanship.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><em>\u201cYou could make the case that it<\/em><\/strong> &lt;this &#8220;course&#8221;<em><strong>&gt;<\/strong><\/em><strong><em> costs nothing<\/em><\/strong>&#8230;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>(No, no I can\u2019t&#8230;)<strong><em> <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><em>because it\u2019s going to put a whole lot of money in your pocket. In fact, You\u2019ll probably get your money back on your first job.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p><strong><em>\u201cMy methods are guaranteed to put you on the fast-track to a voice over career that\u2019s fun, exciting and profitable \u2013 without submitting yourself to massive procrastination, hesitation or frustration.\u2026<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So just to be clear here: I get my money back if I experience frustration, hesitation, procrastination or a lack of fun, excitement and\/or profitability on the fast-track of my voice over career.
