By &#8220;these days,&#8221; do they mean over the past few months? Few years? Few decades?<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re told where we can find &#8220;Simple Truth&#8221; products without being told what those products actually are and how they can add to our lives.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re told about <em>&#8220;the green circle on the packaging.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Marketing Note:<\/strong> If the packaging is good, you don&#8217;t need to use radio advertising to tell people what &#8220;the green circle&#8221; means.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Plus, it&#8217;s delicious and affordable.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Well, that&#8217;s reassuring. The anonymous hired voice says it&#8217;s delicious and affordable.<\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0 Are &#8220;delicious&#8221; and &#8220;affordable&#8221; in contrast to the rest of the food Ralphs sells?<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0 Only an incompetent copywriter refers to the <a href=\"http:\/\/danoday.com\/blog\/2012\/12\/restaurant-radio-copywriting\/\">advertised food<\/a> as &#8220;delicious.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0 I\u00a0 can safely assume that what &#8220;she&#8221; finds delicious will be delicious to me, too?<\/p>\n<p>4.\u00a0 &#8220;Affordable&#8221; \u2014 to whom?<\/p>\n<p>5.\u00a0 No Real Human ever says &#8220;affordable.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>What a waste of however much Ralphs is spending on its radio advertising.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here&#8217;s the radio commercial&#8230;.
