    Absolutely right. That promo does sound slick and well-produced, but it also sounds disingenuous (not a feeling you want to evoke when you’re trying to raise funds to support Christian radio).

    Yes, it’s simpler to make up a story like that, rather than going to the effort to seek out a real listener willing to share his/her story, but it shouldn’t be about simplicity, it should be about authenticity. I doubt that many listeners hearing that promo are feeling moved to make a donation.
