What the director really means is he wants a cross between Kiefer Sutherland, Sam Elliott, and Morgan Freeman, and the delivery should be exciting and energetic but subtle and sophisticated. It’s a :30-second spot so it should take you only about :30-seconds to record, for someone who knows what he’s doing.

At least he was honest when he said “I know nothing about voice over” but then he said he would be “directing you” The directions ought to be about who we are trying to connect with and the benefits of the product being talked about. ” In the style of ” is as unhelpful as ” I want you to read it like this ” and then they read the script out loud. If that’s what they want what are they doing hiring a voice?
I love the ” oh that’s my specialty ” I’ll use that next time. Thanks
