VIDEO: How One Voice Actor Changed Her Life (And Helps Her Community)

Linda Ristig voice oversRemember my “Dan Saves Radio (People)” campaign from December?

Here’s one person who decided to join in.

Along with my buddy, Mike, I’m about to launch “Dan Saves Radio (People) – The Sequel.” We’ll have a bunch of brand new videos, teleseminars, webinars…

….all free. But for me to be able to let you know when each new one is available, you need to put yourself on the “Dan Saves Radio (People)” Alert List.

Some of the videos will be from radio and voice over people, showing you how they’ve leveraged their existing skills to enhance their businesses, their careers and their lives.

Add your name to the list now, and I’ll let  you know as soon as there’s a new video, webinar or teleseminar.

P.S. It would be great if you’d tweet, “like” or otherwise share this via the magical buttons below!

Here’s a bit of a footnote to the process of creating the video. Although there are always new avenues of learning yet to explore in social media, I’ve been focusing primarily on video. I created an outline of key points the day before I filmed, then puzzled over what to wear… Just a few months ago, who knew that I’d be able to shoot a video, edit it in iMovie, and upload it on You Tube in about an hour? By the way, my family thought the chocolate chip pancakes turned out great! The irony is they were more impressed by breakfast than the video! lol

Great video, Linda. Really communicates and comes off relaxed and stress free.
I’m sure the chocolate chip pancakes were superb, as well.

Great video! A very natural delivery in a great setting. Can you share the type of camera used? The sound and video are quite good.

@Steve: Most likely she used the Kodak Zi8 (https://danoday.com/Kodak), which is the video camera to buy. Fits in your pocket, around $100, and shoots broadcast quality video (1080p).

That’s the camera I recommend to all our members.

Because she was able to speak so softly and still be heard clearly, she probably used the inexpensive lav mic I recommend to our members: https://danoday.com/lav-mic .

(That’s another great advantage of the Zi8: Unlike other pocket sized video cameras, it has a microphone jack.)
