This is hardly a secret, but most people don’t know that the title of Buddy Holly’s “That’ll Be The Day” was inspired by John Wayne’s repeatedly uttering that phrase during the film, THE SEEKERS….

Buddy Holley is buried in my town! If you don’t know where at the Lubbock cemetary he lays at rest…youll never find him!

And No! I didn’t spell the last name wrong…The label did.
I actually knew that! I was (and still am) a major Buddy Holly nerd. 🙂 They found his car a few years ago, the new one he got just before he went out on Winter Dance Party tour. No one know it was his, but someone did a check for some reason and the VIN numbers match up.
