Regarding Andy Alm’s aircheck, allow me to opine:
Overall, good job, but as a busy PD/Ops Mgr, I really don’t have time to listen to a five-minute aircheck from a prospective employee, UNLESS something about it draws me in. In this case I listened to the whole thing because The Guru (Dan) asked me to; if you had sent this to me to apply for a job, I probably would’ve stopped the CD after the first break. That being said, you should start with your strongest break, which I felt was the homeless woman / Dork-a-Pellas bit. After that you could’ve gone to the Opinion Poll bit, and then followed that up by playing a piece of your conversation with one of these callers who say they never participate in such polls.
