Daya Ottley, a radio personality with Family Focus in Trinidad and Tobago, was a Repeat Offender at last year’s International Radio Creative & Production Summit.
With the Early Bird Registration ending in less than a week, I figure this is a good time to share his video with you once more.

Looking to always be a student of my craft. Learn from those who have been doing it successfully and much longer than I. I’m a great salesman, yet I have never used my talent to sell myself as a voice talent. Now, at 45 I feel behind the 8 ball and I should not. VO talents are like golf-ers – you hardly ever get a season ending injury and you can play well into your 70’s. Well, you get the drift! LOL I have a pretty good resume’ but still so many things to learn – how to close the gap on cold reads better, how to manage tough reads and move through them without forcing the production of more takes, how to use technology better to get a look from major movie trailor and production houses, how affective can the right casting agent be – and more. Looking forward to the connection Mr. Day. I met Mr. Fontaine once in Philadelphia at Audio Post with Scott Wazz – geat guy – working to be at your next conference. Sent you a facebook friendship request – looking forward to connecting.
