HOW WAS THE “BOOK MORE VOICEOVER” TELESEMINAR?

This posting is for people who listened (either live or on the subsequent recording) to Wednesday night’s “How To Book More Voiceover Auditions” with Nancy Wolfson.

I thought it was great. But if you were there, what did you think?

Even though I have studied with Nancy there is ALWAYS something new I learn from these teleconferences. The questions during “How to Book More Voiceover Auditions” were the 36 questions we wanted to know but, up to this teleconference, were afraid to ask!!
Gems of the night: (1) The three “A”s of success: Available, Affable and Able! (2) Be Excellent! (3) INSIDE VOICES ONLY (4) Don’t try to be CLEVER! (4) Copy is KING; YAY no specs!!
    Excellent!

Great information. A little long, but stuff I’ll certainly be able to use. And to think: I thought you only did air-checks.

Thank you for bringing the questions and answers to the program this evening.

A quality articulation of pertinent questions andquality information, well worth the time and money.

Obviously there is ordinary, … and then there is Ms. Wolfson !

A little long, but well worth it.

I took Nancy’s course to demo and I love her approach to this business. She has a wonderful way of keeping it simple. I think as artists, we are so hard on ourselves, wondering how we could have done things better. Nancy simplifies it… and I work really well with that, as do many other talents. What’s the bottom line? What do \they\ want?? She explains, it’s The NUTS and BOLTS. SERVICE THE SCRIPT!! It ALL comes down to that. Almost every question could be answered with those few words! Knowing and studying the patterns in scripts and the basic volume, tempo, do’s and don’ts of TV and radio, along with keeping it real, is what makes the difference. Add a good dose of business etiquette, (the three A’s), and the auditions should follow. Assuming, of course, the unique vocal and acting talent is there.

I’m still working very hard on making it all come together, but, I feel blessed to have found Nancy, and to have her in my corner. She offers what no other teacher does… the secrets behind the scripts! (Shhhh… don’t tell anyone, but this is what they’re looking for…)

Dan, thanks for making sure all questions were answered. It was great!

Learning from Nancy Wolfson is like a breath of air to a drowning man. It is so refreshing to hear her talk about voice as a business first. I love her open, unfettered embracing of applying the art of voice as a means to an end – to book!

Just listening to the Book More Auditions call with Nancy Wolfson. Great Info.

You and Nancy (and Chuck Blore and Dick Orkin) are my gurus. When it comes to advertising you are the people who “get it”. What an honor to have my audition for “the island of misfit toys” singled out for recognition. Wow!

Thanks for the great call and keep the hits coming.
