Pam Lontos really knows her stuff. That’s obvious. I wasn’t prepared for just how much practical and actionable information would be presented. Bravo! The key information for me was the (first question to ask) when calling a reporter. Worth the entire call for that one line.

Wow–what a treasure cove of helpful information! The call today with Pam was relevant, applicable to us as voiceover artists, and quite enjoyable.

The moderation was right on track–keeping on schedule and topic which when someone’s covering such a broad topic is difficult at best.

Thanks to you and Harlan for including Pam as part of our training. “See” you Monday!

I enjoyed hearing Pam today! She had great comments on making it “about the story, not about you”, helping readers with a problem and about making the reporter look good. These comments dovetailed very nicely with what you and Harlan have said these past 3 weeks about the Outward Focus”, making it about them, not about us.

Her section on Press Releases was outstanding, not only the practical tips, but about persistence through the “no-s”, also similar to what Harlan said about the attitude we should take with auditions.

    Great call!

I just want to say, I wish I had Pam Lontos’ quick media thinking brain!  The way she could springboard from one opportunity for media coverage to the next was very enlightening.  I especially liked the way she repeated how important it was to not self-promote in the article/email/press coverage.  Thanks so much for asking (begging?) her to share her insights!

I thought this bonus class was tremendous. Dan did a great job interviewing Ms. Lontos and she was a wonderful guest. She was so forthcoming and facile with a great amount of wonderful information on how and what to do in order to gain some good skills in public relations.

Her advice and anecdotes were marvelous, good points in fact, as to what not to do as well as what to do in following certain avenues, and strategies to approaching various media outlets for submitting a Press Release to headline an interesting story!

I think as someone who enjoys writing and always thinking of what would be a good headline, I would enjoy this part of the business of promoting myself in my voiceover career. Also, as the daughter of a former newspaper editor, (she also warned never to write anything that you wouldn’t want to see printed in the next day’s newspaper!) I can well appreciate everything Ms. Lontos expounded on.

I really appreciated Pam Lontos’ doing the interview and thanks to Dan for providing us with this very important bonus class. I simply loved it!

Thanks so much for bringing Pam Lontos in for our bonus call. Her insight and experience made for a fascinating talk. I really enjoyed the concepts of making opportunities for yourself by being aware of potential contrasts in the media. Thanks you for providing us with such a wealth of knowledge.
