Oh, Gawd forbid that radio ever be CREATIVE again!
Stu…you said the “C” word…wash your mouth out with — new and improved soap…LOL
Oh, I have a few MORE C words I could say! Likce “cancer,” as in “Clear Channel Is…” (Another C word!) But I won’t say a thing. 😀
and here in Canada.. “R” is for Rogers..”C” is for Corrus..and CTV GlobeMedia..and “A” is for Astral…LOL
‘Creativity’ isn’t bread in the songs and playing something for a ‘wow” factor. Say something meaningful between the songs and you can play the same 100 songs all day and still pull good numbers.
Bingo Chris Clare!!!
Always better to ask for forgiveness than permission
Radio WILL get creative again! Just like everything else in life: “what goes around…comes around”
Everything OLD is NEW again.
Actually, I’ve found it’s more what you DON’T play on your shift that makes a positive difference to the sound (and the boss tends to be less grumpy).
Gone are those halcion days of “Oh, I cued up the wrong track” (insert sheepish, but knowing smile)
I love it when air talent says something meaningful. Don’t worry — they’ll soon program THAT, too.
