WORLD-CLASS RADIO LESSON FROM IRA GLASS

I saw this on Bob Souer’s blog, and I’m ripping it off from him.

Ira Glass’s radio program, This American Life, is staggeringly good — and impossible to describe if you’ve never heard it.

And the lesson he offers here is priceless.

Thanks, Dan. More proof that powerful lessons can be taught in a short amount of time. I can’t wait to start listening to his show!!

So, Mark, your point is that MY seminars are much too long. I’m canceling your blog subscription.

The thing about This American Life is if you try to describe it to someone who’s never heard it, they’ll end up being certain they understand what the show is like…and they’ll be mistaken.

The one word that always comes to mind when I try to describe the program is “extraordinary.”

Oh, did I forget to mention what an “extraordinary” blog you have here, Dan? I’d hate to miss out!

Now, on to “This American life.”

Well said, Ira! Still there, still doing that…

    Act IV…
