The other day I received an email from a client in India — someone for whom I conducted a week of seminars fairly recently. He said:
Recently saw a video of you on YouTube, you were much younger then… could barely recognize you…
Well, the guy on YouTube does look younger than I. But it ain’t me.
It’s a jock in the Phillipines (and, I believe, a reader of this blog) who for some reason decided to mime to a recording of my Morning Show Ratings Explosion.
He gives a very convincing performance. But I’m pretty sure I don’t look quite that goofy when I conduct a seminar….

I tried to write a funny comment about this, but your blog wouldn’t let me. Then I came back and it will. Now I have to try to remember what my funny comment was….
Somehow the blog settings got changed overnight; I’ve returned them to what they were supposed to be. Sorry for the hassle. And now I have to wonder how many other people tried to post a comment but were unable to.
Dan! That looks just like the conference table we all met around for a week when you worked with our morning show. Did you use CGI to put that other guy in the video?
I saw you speak at CRS, the year your shoulder went out. In real life you look at least as goofy as the guy in the video. :;
Ah, what a memorable moment that was (CRS/shoulder). I’ll make a note to explain that in a future posting.
