What better way to start the weekend than with a quick dose of the late, very great Dr. Don Rose.

Do you have more of Dr. Don in action?

Still my favorite line, I heard it on his first day at KFRC: Did you wake up grumpy this morning, or is SHE still asleep??! (Quack Quack — You’ve got a BIG BIG MOUTH! — MOOOOOooooOOOOOOOOoooo!!!)

I loved Dr. Donald D. Rose–”It’s a Rosieeeeee day San Francisco!!! Now smile! He, he, he…” If you listened to Dr. Don for more than 5 minutes you couldn’t help but have a great day.

Do you believe there will be another era in broadcasting where a local-live personality greets the day with enthusiasm?

Will there be another period when people will think that ‘radio’ is important?

While it may be tough to find hope in a brighter tomorrow with talented people connecting with a local audience, it is good to reflect back to when people such as Dr. Don Rose ‘OWNED’ our top-of-mind awareness. Automation and syndicated programming will never be as good as he was!

what a joy seeing another don rose clip. perhaps 1 day we can look forward to the viacoms, clear channels, disneys et al being strictly regulated again, meaning a limit a tight limit on ownership, so radio can spawn more greats like don rose.
until that day, we only have his recorder memory to enjoy….as we surely do. he was ‘sumthin’

Who Owns Whose Words

When you post something on this blog, you retain the right to use your words elsewhere.

I get to use your words elsewhere, too: in a newsletter, book, 3-D hologram, major motion
picture, etc. I'm not saying I will, but it's possible.

But you don't get to take the stuff I write here – even if it's in response to something you
wrote – and use it elsewhere.

Just so you know.

Thanks,
