“Osh” is still the best!

I’ll do a quick check to see what time of day the song is going to play and listeners seem to appreciate it. Bobby Ocean? Was he on the air in Kansas City in 1983? Q104 KBEQ?

I know he was in KC in 1992-1995 @ KCMO–Oldies 95 b/c we worked together there

Thanks Carl, I’ll bet it was him! Q104 was a great CHR before going country.

I worked with a Bobby Ocean at KBEQ 104 FM in 1983/4 but I understand that there were two Bobby Oceans in circulation around that time in radio; the photo on this site doesn’t look a lot like the ‘Osh’ with whom I worked in KC. FYI I was at Q104 from June 1981 until 1983 when I moved to WRAL FM Raleigh, NC. In October 1984 I went to the RKO affiliate WFYR 103.5 FM in Chicago where I did middays-ish until late 1989 when the station was sold. WCKG and WRCX took me through to 1997, apart from a wonderful 4 month stint at KZFX Houston in 1994. I moved back to the UK in October 1997. Cheers then!

Who Owns Whose Words

When you post something on this blog, you retain the right to use your words elsewhere.

I get to use your words elsewhere, too: in a newsletter, book, 3-D hologram, major motion

But you don't get to take the stuff I write here – even if it's in response to something you
wrote – and use it elsewhere.

Just so you know.
