QUESTION FOR DAN O’DAY:
My company has been asked by a local radio station in the (Top 10 Market) area to produce a daily 1-minute report, but we would have to find sponsors for the 30 seconds before the spot and 30 seconds after the spot.
I wanted to know if you thought we would be able to syndicate our idea and if so what type of process a company like ours would have to go
through to syndicate this to 25+ radio stations across the U.S.
Your best bet would be find a media barter company to market the show for you. One of the biggest is Media America, in New York City.
You might check the R&R DIRECTORY (available from Radio & Records in Los Angeles) for a listing of brokers/barter companies...or perhaps you can find such a list at their website (www.rronline.com).
